About SPEEA Leadership: Members run the union
SPEEA is a grassroots labor organization in which members elect representatives and officers, all of whom are full-time workers in the aerospace industry who volunteer to serve in union roles.
SPEEA Council Representatives are both advocates in the workplace, helping union members resolve disputes, and members of our union’s governing body, the SPEEA Council. The Council sets policy guidance for the union.
SPEEA’s Executive Board is elected from the union membership to be its leaders, setting and administering the annual budget and running the affairs of the union according to the policies set by the SPEEA and regional Councils and our union’s governing documents.
SPEEA’s member leaders are supported by the union’s professional staff, which assists with negotiating contracts, filing grievances, answering benefit questions, addressing workplace issues and providing training.
Members can get directly involved in SPEEA’s decision-making process by joining one of several committees, which make recommendations on broad policies and specific actions to their respective regional councils.
