    It is moved that: THE SPEEA COUNCIL APPROVES THE PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2027 SPEEA COUNCIL BUDGET AND SUBMITS THE PROPOSED BUDGET TO THE SPEEA EXECUTIVE BOARD FOR CONSIDERATION AND INCORPORATION INTO THE SPEEA BUDGET.

  • NW25-032 – AMENDED NW Union Food Donation Program
    Northwest Council - Dec. 11, 2025
    It is moved that: The NW MAC requests that at the SPEEA Union halls in Tukwila and Everett, SPEEA staff or member volunteers set up and allow for the collection of items that may be of assistance to food banks in designated bins. These items can include food, or any items deemed essentially needed by the Puget Sound Labor Agency Food Bank.
  • NW25-031 – Supporting State Efforts for a 32-hour Workweek With No Loss in Worker Pay or Benefits

    It is moved: that the SPEEA NW Council supports state efforts for the 32-hour workweek with no loss of pay or benefits and the NW Council shall submit the following resolution to the Washington State Labor Council (WSLC) and the Pierce, King, and Snohomish/Island County Central Labor Councils (CLCs).

    It is moved: Motion to recommend SPEEA council reallocate Line Item #26 Neurodiversity Seminar $300, #27 Vocational Rehabilitation $500, and #29 Museum Tours $500 to $0 (-$1300). Rename Line Item “Panel Discussion” #24 to be “Diversity Engagement Events” (4) and increase the budget from $1000 to $2000.

  • NW25-024 – WAC CLUW Convention Budget Motion

    It is moved that: that the Northwest Council approve sending two members to the CLUW Convention, funded by transferring $5,200 from Line Item 2.5.4 “SIUW Summer School (4 members)” and $1,600 from Line Item 2.5.3 “CLUW National Executive Board (2 members)” to Line item 2.5.1 “CLUW Convention”, for a total of $6,800.
  • NW25-023 – Distribution and Disbursement of STEM Funds

    It is moved that: that the SPEEA NW Council distribute the allocated fund for 2025-2026 SPEEA STEM Grant awards as shown in the attached spreadsheet.
