On Tuesday, our SPEEA Negotiation Team and Boeing management reached tentative agreements on topics including incentive pay, new contract provisions for child and elder care, layoff benefits, part-time employment and work movement.
The tentative agreements are not final. Details on the new contract provisions will be provided to SPEEA members when we have Boeing’s final offer.
Also Tuesday, our SPEEA team presented Boeing with proposals on flexible and virtual work, overtime limits and the Learning Together Program.
The team “worked late on Tuesday night trying to prepare contract language on key proposals to present to Boeing in the morning,” said Negotiation Team member Kevin Boyd, a production engineering tool designer and Boeing designated expert who works in Auburn. “We’re hopeful we can reach agreement on these issues within a matter of days.”
