Layoff information to help SPEEA-represented employees

Layoff is one of the most difficult experiences a worker can face. Whether voluntary or involuntary, layoff is often unplanned and brings career and financial uncertainty.

SPEEA works hard during contract negotiations to ensure the softest landing possible for represented employees when layoffs happen.

When they do come, SPEEA again works hard to ensure contracts are followed and employees receive every benefit they are entitled.

During layoff, SPEEA monitors the process and is available to help represented employees with information, resources and assistance with the benefits they have earned.
