It is moved that: The NW Council requests the Executive Board investigate and report back to the NW Council the offloading of skill codes 6H, 6G, and any others to Moscow Design center and North Charleston, South Carolina, while SPEEA members in the same skill codes have been laid off. The stable workload at the Moscow Design center coupled with a decrease in Puget Sound SPEEA member workloads violates section 9.1 of the Professional and Technical Unit contracts. The SPEEA NW Council considers the movement of SPEEA work to non-union members to be a critical issue. The NW Council requests the SPEEA Executive Board to inform the NW Council on this issue and to take all possible measures to halt and reverse the movement of SPEEA work to non-union members. |
