What’s next
The Bargaining Unit Councils (BUCs) made up of Prof and Tech Council Reps and Executive Board members will meet Thursday, Aug. 6.
At this meeting, the BUCs will vote on whether to recommend, reject or issue no recommendation and determine if a strike authorization vote appears on the ballot.
They will also determine if the contract vote will be conducted online. Regardless of the method, SPEEA has a process for absentee ballots.
More details will be coming after the BUCs make their decisions.
Haven’t signed up for SPEEA home email? Go to the SPEEA Member Portal to add your personal email address. If you haven’t created an account in the Portal, you just need your BEMSID and your name as it appears in the Boeing system.
This allows you access to the voting credentials prior to the print copy arriving in the mail. SPEEA will also provide more information about absentee balloting.
