It is moved that: In order to advance the interests of SPEEA Members within the broader labor movement and to build the political power necessary to win strong union contracts, the northwest council supports labor councils to recommend candidates and ballot issues that support labor and amends the Northwest Council’s Policy & Procedure Section V, Subsection A with the following addition:
3. Labor Council Delegates
a. The Northwest Region’s Labor Delegates may fully participate in their Labor Council’s COPE meetings per the requirements of the SPEEA Council’s Legislative Actions & Endorsements in the SPEEA Council’s Policy & Procedure Manual.
