Message from your Negotiation Team
Your voices and votes have made clear that the proposed contract terms fall short for members and that negotiations with Boeing must continue.
In this vote, you also told us that without significant improvements to the offer, you are prepared to strike until our concerns are addressed.

What’s next
We created a survey for Prof and Tech members to clarify what the members would need from the next offer to vote to accept. We urge you to take this survey to ensure your voice is heard and impacts the next round of negotiations.
The survey will remain open until 3 p.m. (PT), Wednesday, Aug. 26, with the goal of sharing results.
The Contract Action Team (CAT) is meeting tonight (Aug. 21) to discuss next steps, plan sessions for members to discuss desired improvements and encourage members to fill out the survey. If your opinions change as you discuss improvements, you may take the survey again; only the last entry per member will be used when tallying results.
Your negotiation team will use the survey results, CAT member engagement and feedback from our lunchtime meetings, town halls and office hours in our negotiations.
Causes of concern
We heard from thousands of SPEEA members that the deep mistrust of Boeing leaders continues. The source of this mistrust is rooted in individual experiences, where we have witnessed common events:
- SPEEA-represented jobs eroding, moving out of state or offshoring
- Quality and safety taking a backseat to schedule
- Engineering and technical decisions being overruled or ignored
- Salaries failing to keep pace with inflation and the aerospace job market
We’ve given a damn all these years, and our efforts, particularly over the last two contracts, were not acknowledged, appreciated nor rewarded. In this challenging moment, we rely on each other and our solidarity as we work toward a new offer that meets the collective expectations of SPEEA members.
The next few weeks will be busy for the Negotiation Team, but we are committed to negotiating the best offer that reflects all our SPEEA members’ voices. We need your help through your continued participation in workplace actions and constant communication with your peers to deliver a contract that supports all our careers at Boeing.
