Our SPEEA Negotiation Teams met with Boeing executives on Thursday, before breaking for the Fourth of July holiday.
Thursday’s session included a presentation from the Boeing team on the state of the company’s business and a discussion of whether pay at Boeing is adequate for the company to recruit and retain enough qualified aerospace professionals to meet its corporate goals.
“Over the first two days, the Boeing team has asked questions about our contract priorities, particularly in areas like retiree medical and work-life balance,” said Katheryn Durkee, a supply chain engineer who works in Seattle. “Our SPEEA team asked a lot more questions about the process and tools Boeing uses to benchmark our pay with other companies in the aerospace and high-tech industries.”
The teams plan to resume talks on Monday, July 6.
