July 14 Negotiations Update

Tuesday was a busy day for your SPEEA Negotiation Team.

Boeing executives presented our team with proposed contract language for a new performance management process (Article 4), and language to reform the process for NORAs, or notices of remedial action (Letter of Understanding 7).

Our SPEEA team will present counterproposals to both.

Our team presented Boeing with an early draft of a new process for aiding SPEEA professionals with their career development.

The two sides also discussed concepts for new rules for flexible work arrangements.

“People want to have time to live their lives, be with their families and do their things,” said Negotiation Team member Tristan Vogeler, a numerical control programmer who works at Renton. “Boeing seems to understand this. We need to figure out contract language.”

Talks are set to continue on Wednesday.
