Friday was an internal workday for both the SPEEA and Boeing negotiation teams, as both sides spent the day analyzing the information exchanged earlier in the week and developing proposals based on those exchanges.
The two sides communicated informally but did not come together for meetings.
“Even though we didn’t meet with the company, Friday was a really productive day,” said Alex Phillips, a product security engineer who works in Seattle. “We were able to analyze and work through some of the ideas Boeing floated during our earlier meetings and whiteboard ways to modify them to meet the needs of our members.”
Talks are scheduled to continue on Monday.
