July 9 Negotiations Update

Our SPEEA Negotiation Team met for the fourth consecutive day Thursday with our Boeing management counterparts.

We held substantive and robust discussions about issues including performance management, job security and the NORA (Notice of Remedial Action) process.

“So far, our interest-based bargaining approach has resulted in us having really productive conversations about issues that both sides see as problems,” said Kevin Boyd, a Boeing designated expert in cutting tool design and manufacturing processes who serves on the SPEEA team. “We won’t know until we see written proposals from Boeing, but it feels like we’re off to a good start.”

Talks will continue on Friday.
