On Monday, our SPEEA Negotiation Team received and reviewed proposals from Boeing regarding Performance Management, notices of remedial action, layoff and recall procedures and the Ed Wells Partnership.
Boeing executives and our SPEEA team also engaged in a spirited discussion about pay on Monday, with the SPEEA team debating market data versus aerospace excellence.
Management has not yet presented our team with pay or retirement proposals.
“The proposed contract language given to us Monday reflects many of the things we’ve talked about, including some improvements to the Ed Wells program that we think will help SPEEA members chart and navigate their Boeing careers,” said Negotiation Team member Andrew Ferguson, an Associate Technical Fellow who works as a principal technical lead engineer on KC-46 mission systems.
“That’s all good,” he continued. “But we’ll know a lot more about how these talks are going when we receive their economic proposals.”
