Meet and greet with Boeing negotiators

Back to previous page

On May 27, your SPEEA Negotiation Team, SPEEA staff and Boeing negotiators met at the Seattle Delivery Center for an informal lunch and introductory meeting. These meetings are a normal part of the collective bargaining process and provide an opportunity for both parties to begin building working relationships ahead of formal negotiations.

Boeing identified the following senior leaders as part of the company’s negotiation team:

  • Ben Nimmergut, Vice President of Production Engineering
  • Robert Joga, Vice President of Labor Relations
  • David Loffing, Vice President and Chief Engineer
  • Doug Ackerman, Vice President of Supplier Quality

Additional members of Boeing Labor Relations and Benefits teams were also present.

At this time, no formal date has been established for Main Table negotiations.

IVF fertility benefits coming soon

The SPEEA Negotiation Team is also pleased to share that Boeing has agreed to extend IVF fertility benefits currently available to non-union employees to SPEEA-represented employees. Boeing made this commitment without preconditions.

The company has indicated these benefits are expected to become available to SPEEA members on Jan. 1, 2027.

We view this as a positive development and an encouraging sign that Boeing recognizes the importance of improving its relationship with SPEEA members and supporting the needs of today’s workforce.

As negotiations continue, we ask members to remain engaged, patient, and united throughout the process. While there are no guarantees in bargaining, your Negotiation Team remains committed to advocating for a strong contract that reflects the value, skill, and contributions of SPEEA members across the company.
